> TestFlight Beta Testing Checklist

// Everything you need to get a TestFlight build in front of testers without the common setup mistakes — covering build config, internal and external testing groups, feedback, and build expiry.

TestFlightDeploymentiOS

TestFlight is the most straightforward way to get beta builds to testers outside your team, but it has enough configuration surface that something is usually misconfigured the first time. The most common issues are push notifications silently failing because the build is using the sandbox APNs environment, builds not reaching external testers because Beta App Review hasn't completed, and testers stuck on expired builds because no one noticed the 90-day clock.

The What to Test notes field is worth taking seriously. Generic placeholder text produces unfocused feedback. A few sentences describing the specific feature or flow you want testers to exercise will produce more useful reports.
